Christmas is a special time of year in vacation care, filled with excitement, festive celebrations and opportunities to create lasting memories. And what better way to celebrate than with experiences that get children laughing, creating, moving and discovering something new?

From magical Christmas entertainment and festive creative workshops to interactive science shows and energetic dance experiences, there are so many ways to bring something extra special to your December and January school holiday program.

At Vacation Care Australia, we help vacation care services find engaging incursions and experiences that make school holidays more exciting. Whether you’re looking for a Christmas-themed celebration or a completely different experience to surprise the children, we’re here to help you explore the possibilities.

Bring the Magic of Christmas to Your Centre

There’s something special about Christmas activities that bring children together. The excitement of a festive performance, the chance to get creative or the anticipation of a Christmas-themed experience can turn an ordinary vacation care day into something memorable.

Imagine children joining in with a lively Christmas show, getting swept up in festive music and dance, or discovering the magic of an interactive performance designed to entertain and delight.

Christmas-themed experiences can add a wonderful sense of occasion to your holiday program, giving children something exciting to look forward to during the festive season.

Whether you’re planning a special Christmas celebration or looking for a festive highlight to complement your existing program, Vacation Care Australia can help you explore experiences suited to your service.

Festive Creativity With a Twist

Christmas is the perfect opportunity to bring creativity to the forefront of your vacation care program.

Creative workshops give children the chance to experiment, express themselves and create something unique, while adding a festive touch to the holiday season.

Think colourful Christmas artwork, imaginative decorations, hands-on craft experiences and sustainable festive creations. These experiences combine the excitement of Christmas with opportunities for children to explore their creativity and take pride in what they make.

For something a little different, environmentally inspired Christmas activities can introduce children to creative ways of reusing materials and celebrating more sustainably.

With a range of creative experiences to explore, it’s easy to find something that adds colour, imagination and festive fun to your school holiday program.

Give Children Something Unexpected

While Christmas-themed experiences are always popular during the festive season, the school holidays are also an opportunity to introduce children to something completely different.

A little variety can make a big difference, giving children new experiences to discover and plenty to talk about afterwards.

At Vacation Care Australia, we can help you explore experiences across a range of interests.

Science and STEM

Bring curiosity to life with hands-on science, robotics, engineering challenges and interactive demonstrations. These experiences encourage children to experiment, discover and explore the fascinating world around them.

Creative arts and performance

From imaginative art workshops to circus skills, magic and interactive entertainment, creative experiences give children opportunities to express themselves, build confidence and enjoy something outside their everyday routine.

Dance, music and movement

Energetic dance sessions, musical experiences and interactive games are fantastic ways to bring groups together. Whether children love performing or simply enjoy moving to their favourite music, these experiences add plenty of energy to a holiday program.

Wildlife and animal encounters

For children fascinated by the natural world, wildlife and animal experiences offer opportunities to discover Australian animals, learn about their habitats and explore the environment in an engaging way.

Active games and challenges

Team challenges, sports-based experiences and exciting group activities can bring friendly competition and plenty of laughter to the holidays.

With so many different types of experiences available, you can create a program that offers something beyond the usual day at vacation care.

Make the Summer Holidays More Exciting

Christmas marks the beginning of the long summer break for many Australian families, making December and January an ideal time to introduce memorable experiences into your vacation care program.

Whether your service is looking for an exciting end-of-year celebration, a creative workshop or an engaging incursion to break up the summer holidays, there are plenty of options to explore.

We understand that every service is different. The number of children attending, their ages, your preferred dates and the type of experience you’re looking for all play a part in finding the right fit.

That’s why Vacation Care Australia helps connect services with experiences suited to their requirements, making it easier to explore possibilities for the holidays ahead.

And with summer weather varying across Australia, there are also indoor experiences to consider when a change of plans is needed.

From festive entertainment to science, creativity and active experiences, the right addition to your program can give children a welcome change of pace and something new to get excited about.
